This annual trip wraps caving, camping, and hot springs into one eventful outing! The caving is fully guided by professionals and requires no caving equipment or experience. The caving will involve walking, crawling, squeezing, climbing, and rappelling, all while a guide shares the science and history behind the caves. After/before caving (depending on your group and day) you will have the option to enjoy the nearby Ainsworth hot springs for a drop in fee of ~$20. The camping will be in a free area near Kootenay lake (the link to the directions is in the rubric sign up).
The tickets on rubric are $207, all of which goes to the caving company. If you want to go to the hot springs, it’s a separate fee paid directly to Ainsworth hot springs.
There will be three groups of seven for this trip, with a total of 21 available tickets. Two groups will go on Saturday the 24th, and one will go on Sunday the 25th. Sign ups will be hosted at the VOCO gear locker on Monday October 5th from 11:30-12:30 pm and Tuesday October 6th from 12:30 to 1:30.
